Our story

Vandersall Collective exists because of the leadership, commitment, and indomitable spirit of The Rev. Mieke Vandersall.

A rare combination of compassion and relentlessness give Mieke her one-of-a-kind perspective on the world of not-for-profits and faith-based organizations. Mieke knows first hand what it is to run a non profit—to take the hard meetings, to ask the heart-of-the-matter questions that build relationships and break through barriers. She knows how to find the opportunity in every no, and the celebration, and next steps, in every yes.

Mieke is someone you want on your team. And because she knows that nobody should or can do things alone, she formed the Collective, pulling together kindred spirits with disparate backgrounds, skills, dreams and passions to work for the better world that she believes we are bringing into being together.

Our team

We are passionate. We celebrate our differences and find strength in our collaborations. We are of different ethnic, religious and non-religious backgrounds. We’re from the North, South, East and West. We’re queer, straight, age-inclusive, woman-led and gender diverse.

Members of our team have received the Executive Certificate in Religious Fundraising from Lake Institute on Faith and Giving and are members of the Association of Fundraising Professionals.
